Information
The construction of the Constitutional Court Annex, which has three floors and two basement floors and a total ground area of 7,800㎡(83,958ft2 ), was completed in April 2020. The Library opened its door to the public in June 2020, its third floor being used as Legal Resources Room, the second floor as General Reading Room, and the first basement floor for preserving other resources. In 2021, a new position as the chief librarian, who supervises the work of librarians, was created, and development plans of library were introduced as well in line with the era of the new Constitutional Court Annex.
The Constitutional Court Library has grown into a specialized library for public law with approximately 190,000 volumes of national and international publications and a variety of electronic resources.
Having chosen twice in 2009 and 2015 as one of the specialized libraries with nationwide operational excellence by the Presidential and Ministerial (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Committee on Library Information Policy, the Constitutional Court Library will build on its accomplishments and endeavor to faithfully support the Constitutional Court’s adjudicatory and research activities and fully guarantee the public’s access to legal information.
